Ray Gonzalez Brown is a designer and maker of uncustomary crafted objects. His work explores the poetic qualities of materials - especially those which are often overlooked or discarded. He takes the commonplace and perishable, and makes them memorialised and enduring.
He received a BA in Furniture Making and Product Design from The Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design (London Metropolitan University) in 2016, where he studied under furniture designer Peter Marigold. He now works from his South London studio, making batch productions, bespoke commissions, and experimenting with materials and making methods.
